My 8-10 year old mediocre LED interior lighting conversion has seen better days and the choice of using hot glue worked well until recently when almost a decade of Tennessee and Texas heat and sun had weakened the glue enough to begin to liquify back and things began to fall apart once more!
I originally did the LED swap because the OEM flex ribbon style cable had become brittle with age and broke and finding a replacement proved difficult so I swapped to LED’s and traditional wires. I lacked most tools, money, and time so the original swap was kind of just hacked together. I go back in and clean things up somewhat and get it all back together and working nicely once more! Hopefully this lasts even longer (though, I can’t really complain to much with 8-10 years out of the last attempt, lol).
