Are you unsure on the best way to #wire in lights? Dash cam? Radar detector? Accessories? Anything else that runs on DC power? An awesome solution is to utilize #fusetaps for a clean install without the need to fumble with cigarette lighter adapters or any other bulky dongles.
This is a short #howto video on how I wired in the “show mode” of my sequential 3rd brake light utilizing a fuse tap. Show mode for this specific setup requires a constant 10v power source (even with the car off and not in accessory mode). I used a multi meter to locate a 10v power source in the trunk fuse box that had power with the car off and ran my fuse tap to this location in the fuse box.
The car used in this demonstration is my 2021 Camaro ZL1 and I tapped into fuse F27 (RGB lights).
Always be sure to use a meter to locate the correct power source/fuse location for your own projects as every car will be different!
