Today I changed the oil in my oldest daughter’s 2014 #Chevy #Impala Limited with the LFX 3.6L V6 engine. As part of the oil change I replaced the oil, the oil filter, and reset the oil life indicator in the gauge cluster. The LFX engine can be found in a wide range of vehicles and thus this procedure will be very similar in all of them, listed below:

* 2012–2016 Buick LaCrosse
* 2013–2015 Cadillac ATS
* 2012–2014 Cadillac CTS
* 2014–2015 Cadillac CTS
* 2012–2016 Cadillac SRX
* 2013–2019 Cadillac XTS
* 2012–2015 Chevrolet Camaro
* 2012–2017 Chevrolet Caprice PPV
* 2015–2016 Chevrolet Colorado
* 2015–2016 GMC Canyon
* 2013–2017 Chevrolet Equinox
* 2012–2016 Chevrolet Impala/Impala Limited
* 2014–2020 Chevrolet Impala
* 2013–2017 GMC Terrain
* 2011–2015 Holden Caprice
* 2011–2013 Holden Commodore VE II (MY 2012)
* 2013–2017 Holden Commodore VF

The overall process and procedure for changing your oil in general is pretty similar and the concepts themselves can apply to changing just about any vehicles engine oil.
